Featured Interview with Robin Butler

Writer Rick Roseman reached out to Butler to conduct an on-line interview detailing Butler’s long experience within the aviation industry and the creation of his two companies, Spectra Interior Products and OmnAvia Interiors.
After starting his career in the textile industry with a manufacturer of aviation upholstery fabrics, Butler was inspired to create his own distribution company. This dream resulted in the founding of Spectra Interior Products in 1990, representing complementary interior suppliers companies including a leather tannery, an upholstery and curtain fabrics manufacturer, a carpet weaving mill, a hand-tufted carpet mural company, a custom seat cushion manufacturer, and a blanket weaver.
While Spectra was mainly focused on the commercial market, Butler followed his passion for textiles and aviation to create OmnAvia Interiors in 2012 to provide a similar variety of quality aviation interior products to business, private, and VIP aircraft customers. What truly sets OmnAvia apart from its industry competitors is the company’s expertise, experience, and broad portfolio of premium soft goods options for the private aircraft market.
